The Kenridge Invitational

At Farmington Country Club

2024 Tournament Information

- Format -

​

The Kenridge Invitational is a 54-hole stroke play competition. The Championship Flight will consist of the 40 low scores and ties after the second round. All remaining contestants will compete in flights. The Kenridge is a World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR) event and also provides points toward the VSGA player rankings.

- Registration -

​

Registration will be located under the tent on the Golf Shop patio from 9:00 -4:00pm on Thursday, May 30. Parking will be available in the lower lot next to the putting green. Players must check in at registration before teeing off for their practice round. 

- PRACTICE FACILITIES -

 

Thursday, May 30, the practice facilities including the Main Range, Short Game Area, and Putting Greens will be open from 8:00am–7:00pm.

 

Friday, May 31—Sunday, June 2, the practice facilities will be open from 6:30am–7:00pm. Shuttle transportation will be provided to the Main Range, and Short Game Area. Shuttles will run throughout the entire day. Shuttle pick up and drop off locations will be marked with signage at the bag drop and practice facilities. Please give yourself ample time to return for your tee time.

- GUEST CARDS -

 

Each player has the opportunity to register for a guest card while on property, allowing purchases of food, beverage and other ancillary items at Farmington Country Club. This form of payment will be the only form of payment accepted. Guest cards will be issued at registration.

- Golf Carts and Caddies -

 

Caddies are not provided by Farmington Country Club. However, players may make arrangements to bring their own caddies. A caddie bib will be provided at the first tee.

Please note - golf carts will not be available to spectators.

- PRIZES -

 

The Kenridge champion will receive the Kenridge Champion’s Trophy and their name engraved on the permanent trophy.

 

The Runner-up, Third and Fourth Place finishers will receive engraved trophies. Ties for the Kenridge Championship will be settled by a sudden death playoff. Gift certificates will be awarded to the low 20 finishers in the Championship Flight. Ties for 20th place will be broken by a match of scorecards.

 

Flight winners will receive engraved trophies and gift certificates.

 

Trophies will be awarded for the following:

 

Low Senior — Corbett King Award

Low Resident Member — Buddy Loving Award

Low Junior — Wallace McDowell Award

Low Round — Jim Fogleman Award

 

Golf Shop credit will be awarded for Runner-up and Third Place in the Senior, Resident Member and Junior classifications. Participants must be age 50 as of May 31, 2022 to qualify for senior awards

- hotels and lodging -

 

A select number of rooms are available on property at Farmington Country Club. Once the field is finalized by May 5, these may rooms may be reserved on a first come first serve basis by calling the front desk at (434) 245 - 0686. Players may not make reservations until the field is finalized.

- Withdrawal and refund policy -

Players that are accepted to the field may withdraw by May 17 with no penalty. After May 17, any player that chooses to withdraw will be subject to a $50 processing fee.

I understand the “Regulations Governing Eligibility to Amateur Classification”. I conform to all these regulations and am eligible to enter the Kenridge Invitational Golf Tournament. All applications are subject to the review and approval of the Kenridge Committee. I shall not protest any decisions with respect to my eligibility

- Alcohol Policy -

​

It is the Kenridge Committee’s policy to immediately disqualify any participant under the age of 21 who consumes an alcoholic beverage on Farmington Country Club property. That player’s status for future events will be in question.
